On a dial without a date window, there's no guarantee that the hands are properly aligned with respect to the date mechanism, so the date might not change at midnight, and as such the danger zone for using the quickset date mechanism might not be centered around midnight.
Wonderful, it looks amazing. I've placed an order for the blue arabic numeral version with no date, which is similar to the Watchco Omega Seamaster 300 that I have, except that it's in blue.
You know what they say, you only have one chance to make a first impression. What watch would you say represents accurately the quality that Borealis now delivers? The only Borealis I have experience with is the Sea Hawk.
How long will the preorder be open for? I'm tempted by the blue version, since I already have the Watchco, but I'm concerned about what the actual shade of blue being used will be.
To put things into perspective, the Helson Skindiver with the Miyota 9015, sapphire domed crystal, and sapphire bezel is $749 on a rubber strap, and $799 on a metal mesh bracelet.
I would like to see an affordable watch with a GMT complication where the quickset is on the main hour hand instead of the GMT hand. This is much more useful for travel than the ones where the quickset is on the GMT hand.
As has been mentioned repeatedly on this thread, the asymmetric case design is part of the original Seamaster 300. I have my Omega Seamaster 300 on my wrist at this very moment, and the case on the right is wider to serve as a crown guard. This is a design feature that the Aqua Terra inherits...
All I need to see now are the final renders and the preorder price. I think it is nicely done, and I hope to add one to my collection soon, even though I already have a Watchco Seamaster 300.
