I choose polished after looking at a lot of pics of the original omega. There are a lot of polished aspects to the case. Also I reckoned it's easy to turn a polished mesh to a satin if needed. You could even just brush one side so it's reversible. I went with the strapcode reform after too much...

It looks like 4mm or a bit thicker. My only concern would be if it is too thick. Though probably not. 4mm is probably ok. I have never had a shark mesh but I would guess they would wear "thinner" due to the large link design. Anyone have any ideas how thick the omega mesh bracelets are that...

After looking at lots pics of the vintage 300 I think if I grab one of these there will be a mesh involved. I think I will place an order in the next day or two. I have 6.75" wrist that fluctuates a bit so I am looking for an adjustable one ideally. Found this one on eBay with "goodcheapman"...
