By TLex This is the new Aquamariner from HAGER, a modern vintage inspired diver that won’t break the bank. The Aquamariner is based on two iconic divers; one of which Hager say is the Rolex Military Submariner AKA Milsub Ref. 5517 – but I thought that had sword hands?! For me it looks like another poor man’s Tudor Black Bay which is a style that is very popular at the moment!

The Aquamariner has a 316L Marine grade Stainless steel case with combination; brushed, polished sides and beveled edges and a satin finish. It measures 41mm without crown and has a height of 12.75mm with its solid back. Its has a 50mm lug to lug measurement and a lug width of 22mm.

Divers features of the HAGER Aquamariner include: a unidirectional rotational divers bezel with a 60-min. dive-time scale with an anodized aluminum inlay in either: matte midnight blue, matte black or matte burgundy and engraved makers –

a screwdown crown, with HAGER logo and midnight blue, black or burgundy anodized aluminum crown tube, a domed, scratch-resistant Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on its inside and a water-resistance to 300 meters.

Power comes from a trusted Miyota 8215 automatic self-winding mechanical movement. The dial is in black with Mercedes hands lumed with blue Superluminova.

The HAGER Aquamariner is available to pre-order with a special pre-order price of just 330USD. Wow – the collectors market is getting super competitive at the moment. This is another nice option.

It's quite a sharp looking watch apart from the red seconds hand on the black version - which makes it look cheap imho. At the end of the day we have Tudor and Rolex to thank for its good looks not HAGER!
