It’s amazing what a splash orange does to the overall appearance of a divers watch. This youthful-looking new diver is probably one of the nicer looking new dive watch models released at Basel this year.



Last year Hamilton Surprised is with a very cool new model, the Khaki Navy FROGMAN – this year the Khaki Navy family is joined by a smaller sibling, the new Khaki Navy Scuba Auto which is available in to guises, this orange and black beauty and more sober black and white version.



The Khaki Navy Scuba has a modest 40mm in diameter Stainless steel case which is equipped wit everything you might expect on a watch designed for scuba-diving: a unidirectional rotational divers bezel, a Sapphire crystal, a screw-down case-back and crown and a not so scuba-oriented 100 meters of water-resistance!



It amazes how even the largest and most established of Swiss watch companies can get something as simple as water-resistance so wrong. The Scuba name and beautifully posed marketing image complete with divers wet-suit and mask suggests that this is a certified diver however the miserly 10atm indicates the quite the contrary. It's still a looker, though!



The new Khaki Navy Scuba comes with either a solid 3-link Stainless steel bracelet or a black Nylon strap with an orange underside and Stainless steel buckle.
