Here’s a new diver’s model from Italy that it is decidedly un-Italian in its design – if it wasn’t for the fact that it said ‘Italy’ below the brand name at 12hr and had the Tricolor flying at 6hr I would not have guessed it.
Locman of Italy has expanded its Mare (sea) family to include a new dedicated 300 meter diver’s model and this is it, the aptly named Mare 300 Metri.
Its 44mm case has been executed almost entirely from, AISI 316L Stainless steel safe for its Titanium case-back – both of which have a satin brushed finish.
The Titanium case-back is secured by 4 screws with a Sapphire crystal exhibition window in its center, affording a view the Japanese automatic Miyota (not sure which) caliber’s gold-colored winding rotor.
The watch comes as a classic 3 hands model with the addition of a date at 3 o’clock.
Diver’s features include a unidirectional rotational bezel as well as large screw-down crown and full integrated Stainless steel link bracelet attached to the case via a set of what can only be described as - big f#ck off hex-lug-bolts.
The Mare 300 Metri comes in 3 different looks: graduated azure, graduated blue or black with gold PVD accents on the hands, crown and around the bezel. MSRP is €598.
