When it comes to quartz-driven watches that maintain accuracy via some sort of outside input, you have traditionally been limited to watches that receive atomic timekeeping signals from observatories around the world. That changed in 2012, with Seiko hooking their watches up to GPS satellites. Two years down the road, and we now have a new Seiko Astron GPS Solar Chronograph, along with a new movement.
