Here’s another Prospex diver’s model made in celebration of Seiko’s 55yr anniversary making diver's watches.
This is Japanese ref. SBDC107 (SPB149) which gets a Stainless case with a DiaShield coating, a domed Sapphire crystal and 200 meters of water-resistance.
As is typical of Seiko LEs it says “LIMITED EDITION” on its case-back. Dimensions are as follows: H47.6mm × W40.5mm × D13.15mm.
SBDC107 (SPB149)joins the TRILOGY of historic re-creations also released in celebration of 55yrs of Seiko divers.
Like them it recalls an historic model; in this instance the earliest ancestor of Seiko' diver's family, the 62MAS and like the 2020 Trilogy models it gets a similar blue dial plus spare blue strap and is released as a Limited Edition.
The Limited Edition of 5,500 pieces is powered by a 24 jewel, Seiko 6R35 automatic caliber with an accuracy of +25 to -15 seconds per day.
The watch comes in special 55th Anniversary box priced 140,000 JPY+TAX or approx. 1'335USD.
