Wow, Maria, triple Viton seals now !
That's amazing ! Have never come across triple Viton seals before ! I have 2 watches with double Viton, my Scorpionfish and a Prescista PRS 19A, but this will be a first for me !
Actually, I kind of liked the 17.5mm before, nice and "beefy" ! HaHaHa, but I...
Glad to see you've come aboard on the turbine bezel bit! Yes, it gives a bit more distinct identity to the watch.
Love the curved down lugs .... should be fine on smaller wrists. The Seafarer was 56mm L2L, and had those awful protruding fixed centre end links. This one being 3mm shorter L2L...
Not necessarily.
Yes, it's a big watch, but this will really depend on the curvature of the lugs. If it has a decent curve to the lugs, it will still be wearable for smaller wrists.
I have a Maranez BWB Speciale, and it has a 58mm L2L, but nicely curved down lugs. My wrist is just over 6.5 "...
That was what I asked earlier, whether all models would have the orange minute hand, and I think it does look good, but some others may want the normal hands, too, I guess .
Am interested in the C3 green model, and I think it looks good with the orange minute hand.
The turbine bezel really...
Was just wondering, if we go with the V3 with the turbine bezel, and GP style handset, will the minute hand be orange on all the models, or only on the orange/black bezel models ?
Also, I agree that the seconds hand should have an orange tip, like that of the Scorpionfish.
Regards,
The Seiko Sawtooth is actually very different. The turbine is just a twisted version of a normal bezel teeth.
Wonder what kind of bracelet clasp the Seafarer II will have ?
The trend nowadays seems to be more the two button Omega type of clasp. Maybe for a bigger, heavy watch like this you need...
Agree with Pakz, everything fits just fine now.
The GP hands, this dial, the turbine bezel, together with the other specs ...... perfection. Different, but great !
Can't wait to see other renders of this beauty.
Regards,
Maria, FANTASTIC !
This time I think you have really nailed it !
Great turbine bezel, to really set it apart from the norm, and those GP hands are really what we need for that aggressive deep diver look.
Just make this ..............
Regards,
Twenty-four days on, 24/7, and it's still on my wrist ..... looking and running great !
I have more than 40 other watches, but this one is hard to take off !
Maria, is it possible to maybe share with us, how many of each of the four variants were produced ?
Thanks.
Regards,
As I mentioned earlier, 1 I believe is the most suitable, while 3 is OK, I guess. The problem with 3, is it appears too thin and not aggressive enough for a serious deep dive watch.
Although we are discussing hands here, I must say that suggestion regarding the twisted bezel, ala Japy, Orca...
I have been looking at hundreds of pictures of hands ...........
May I know what was the reason to alter the original render, Maria ?
My humble suggestion, would be to stick with the original style, which I feel really suits that dial.
The newer design is really awful, at least the back...
Personally, I would really stick with the first set of hands ..... but then, that's just me.
I am sure, before long, others will chip in ......
Regards,
I fully agree Maria, on reverting to the 4000m depth rating. Great that it would read more than the DSSD !
I have lived in South East Asia for more than 60 years, and I can safely tell you that while the number 4 might have negative connotations to some, for a depth rating on a watch, it would...
Well, if the date at 6 is going to have a white background with black numbers, I would say forget it !
For those wanting/needing a date, just stick to the original date model, with date at 3 ..... I believe most will opt for the no date model, anyway .....
So now the question is, big triangle...
