The enthusiasm for the new Tudor Heritage Chronos has understandably brought new attention to the original Tudor chronographs that inspired them. They are among the most interesting watches ever made, and finding one in original, unpolished condition is harder than you may think.
Up for sale on TimeZone is a spectacular circa 1972 Tudor reference 7159 "Monte Carlo". Circa 1972, this watch is in stunning condition. What is special about this particular one is that it is going "tropical", or that the normally black registers and edge of the dial is turning brown. It is an incredible look.
All in all, this is one of the most beautiful vintage Tudor chronographs I have ever seen. For more information, click here.
