Here’s a quick look at a new affordable compressor-style diver from Gruppo Gamma.
Taking its inspiration from the likes of the 60s Aquastar and other iconic models derived from Ervin Piquerez’s famous Super Compressor,
the Chrononaut adds a new twist to the compressor genre by combining its classic case style with the brand’s signature vintage Italian naval inspired dial.
The dial is available in two marker / lume options that include the already SOLD OUT C-01R with its old tritium-colored markers plus a second C-01 in a more modern green.
For fans of the style – the Chroonaut has all the typical compressor design cues: dual crowns at 2 and 4 o’clock with cross hatching across their faces –
as well as inner-timing bezel operable via the crown at 2. Basic spec. includes: a 300 meter water-resistant Stainless case, an old-school box-shaped Sapphire crystal and a Swiss auto.
